Making and keeping appointments (n.): cita
If you need to make an appointment with
a doctor or dentist, just call his or her office
Once you’ve made the appointment, be sure to keep
it. If you need to re-schedule it, be sure to let the office
know in advance so that they can give the appointment
to someone else. Be considerate!
You won’t be charged for missing an appointment with
an National Health Service (NHS) dentist, but there are
doctors and dentists that will take you off their registers
if you don’t cancel your appointment with at least 24
hours’ notice.
