General information
The “Magical Town” of Magdalena lies in the desert among
green cactuses. Have a walk through the desert, enjoying
the blue skies and the breeze. Watch while the white clouds
dance and be awed by the sun setting behind the giant
cactuses. Once the sun has set, marvel at the glittering night
sky, each star shining brilliantly in the silken heavens. This is
the canopy under, which lies the crypt of Father Kino, located
in the Monument Square temple. He lent his name to this
marvelous town. Thanks to the faith of missionaries and the
dedication, hard work and skill of the townspeople, each of
its monuments was built.
