Mexican teenager becomes youngest psychologist
in the world.
A young girl got her master’s degree at UNAM in Mexico City, and

wishes to get a PhD. Now she is honing her English, studies Chinese
and just began learning French and Latin. Structure

According to the World Records Academy, Dafne Almazán is said to be
the youngest psychologist in the world. She began walking when she
was less than 1 year old and learned to write by the age of 3. At 6,

she was able to write in English and she started to get acquainted with
trigonometry and algebra. Once she was identified as a gifted child,
Dafne began being homeschooled. She finished elementary school by the

age of 7, junior high by the age of 8, high school when she was 10 and
received her bachelor’s degree at 13. acknowledge

This teenager has been acknowledged by Harvard University because
of her scholar achievements. She also received the National Psychology
Award and was named as one of the 50 most
powerful women in Mexico by Forbes magazine.

This young girl aspires to obtain a PhD. to help
other children as gifted as she is. Currently,

she is carrying out research among gifted
girls in the State of Mexico, where there are
around 60 thousand gifted girls. She states

that only 2 in 10 children spotted as gifted are
girls. This is evidence of gender discrimination. Thus, she is at
the heart of a campaign trying to prevent discrimination
against these gifted girls.
