in the previous activity to

• Check the conclusion that
serves as an example in Activity
12 and go through the example
with them.
• Play the track and tell students
to follow along with the
transcript. They should focus
on what the interlocutors
are saying.
• Reread the example with them
and discuss the notes that are
not part of the track.
• Make clear how the interlocutors
are working with the elements
inherent to a mystery story (the
clues) in order to provoke the
same effect on the reader of their
comic strip.
• Point out the way each interlocutor introduces his or her opinion supports it with evidence and provides
examples to convince others.
• Encourage students to scan the plan they made before and to discuss whether or not there are any details
missing, or if they should emphasize any elements that are relevant to the story.
