the story he or she selected.

• Model the activity with the
example provided.
• Help students identify that the
words in italics come from
the box in Activity 9 or are
adaptations of those words.
• Allow some time for them to complete the activity.
• Help them come up with several sentences and provide help if necessary.
• Ask a few volunteers to share the general meaning they just wrote and make sure that all the elements
are there.
